Welcome to Hydrology!

Hydrology is the study of water in natural systems including stream flow, flooding, sediment transport, groundwater supply and quality, contaminant transport, atmospheric processes, and biological interactions.

The Hydrology degree at the University of Mississippi is offered at the graduate level only, and is supported by multiple departments within the School of Engineering. Students accepted into the Hydrology program will be assigned an advisor in one of the supporting departments. All support in the form of teaching or research assistantships, office space, and advising will originate from the department in which the student’s advisor resides. To the extent possible, student preferences will be honored when assigning advisors and departmental affiliations.
